Abstract
1371025 Function generators ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 23 Sept 1971 [24 Sept 1970] 00187/74 Divided out of 1362570 Heading G4G A circuit for generating a function of an input voltage at 70 comprises two networks 45, 46 of resistors from which variable voltages can be tapped off at terminals 53 to 56, and 57 to 60, which represent respectively y and x co-ordinates of the function. Tappings 43, 44 are moved along network 46 until they are connected to points encompassing the input at 70 by means of logic circuitry 66 and a stepping mechanism 67 which also moves tappings 41, 42 to the corresponding y position. Subtractors 61, 63 determine the difference in voltage between tappings 41, 42 and 43, 44, respectively. These differences are fed along with the difference between the input and the voltage on tapping 43 to logic circuitry which interpolates between the x, y points of the tappings to give a voltage which when added at 65 to the voltage at tapping 41 will give the desired function.
