Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate a reference voltage over a wide range with high resolution, by providing a geometric dividing circuit after a circuit generating an output voltage of geometric series of 2<1/n> relating to an input voltage. CONSTITUTION:One of a specific resistors 2<1/n>R, 2<2/n>R-2<(n-1)/n>R, R inserted in a feedback path of an operational amplifier 21 is selected by closing one of switches 23S1-23Sn with a signal from a control line B. That is, a 2<1/n> geometric ratio voltage is produced at an output of a circuit 2 relating to a voltage Vref of a reference voltage source 10. An output voltage V1 of the circuit 2 is divided into a (1/n) geometric ratio voltage with a voltage dividing resistor 11. One of the divided voltages is selected by closing one of switches 12S1-12Sm with a control signal from a control line A. A reference voltage V2 is obtained from an output terminal 4.
