Abstract

A displacement transducer is used to a voltage corresponding to a varying displacement. The voltage is programmable according to a chosen function. The transducer, has an electrical potentiometer (14) whose wiper (12) is displaced along a direction (x). The potentiometer (14) has tappings (20) and two end terminals (16, 18). At each tapping (20) and end terminal (16, 18) there is an applied voltage. These applied voltages are obtained by means of an impedance adapting amplifier (A) and adjustable resistors (P0 to P8). A constant voltage source (U) is connected to the adjustable resistors (P0 to P8). The programmable function is obtained by means of these adjustable resistors (P0 to P8).
