1370369 Toothed gearing BECKETT LAYCOCK & WATKINSON Ltd 29 Nov 1972 [22 Dec 1971] 59688/71 Heading F2Q [Also in Divisions G4-G6] A roller sign comprises a flexible web 19 bearing information and wound between rollers 17, 18 which may be driven in clockwise or anticlockwise directions by means of gear-wheels 12, 21 whose squared shafts 16 enter sockets 20. Gear-wheel 13, hand-driven through contrate gear 14, moves up or down in slot 23 to engage either gear 21 or 12 depending on its direction of rotation.
