1369948 Connecting rod ZAKLAD DOSWIADOZALNY SILNIKOW WYSOKOPREZNYCH PRZY ZAKLADACH MECHANICZNYCH IM M NOWOTKI 1 Aug 1973 [9 Aug 1972] 36631/73 Heading F2T In a connecting rod 1, particularly for a compression-ignition engine, comprising a shank 2 and a cap 3 secured thereto, as by screws 4, to define an aperture for a bearing bush 8, the mating faces between the shank and cap on each side of the aperture are symmetrical to the rod axis 5 and each comprise two sections 6, 7, the generating line of one section 6 being parallel to the axis 5 and the generating line of the other section 7 being inclined to the axis. The section 6 is a part-cylindrical surface and the section 7 is an inclined surface, preferably at 75 degrees to the axis 5. The upper half of the bush 8 is secured to the shank by a pin 9 and the shank and cap are located by a pin 10.
