Abstract

1369727 Storage racks; nesting frames BLISS & LAUGHLIN INDUSTRIES Inc 23 Oct 1972 [3 Nov 1971 3 March 1972] 48764/72 Headings A4B and A4H A storage rack frame unit, constructed for in use stacking, Fig. 4, or out of use nesting, Fig. 5 with similar units, comprises four corner posts 10, 11 or 10a, 11a inter-connecting upper and lower frames, the lower frame being rectangular and comprising front 12 or 12', rear 14' and side 16' members and the upper frame being U-shaped and comprising rear 18 or 18' and side 19 or 19' members, the rear posts 10 or 10a being more closely spaced than the front posts 11 or 11a to facilitate the nesting and the upper and lower frames including respective complementary shaped rails 19 or 19' and 21 or 21' of generally V or U-shaped cross-section which inter-engage to locate stacked units. In one embodiment, Figs. 4, 5 the corner posts 10, 11 are fixedly secured to the upper and lower frames. In another embodiment, Figs. 6-8, the corner posts 10a, 11a have end projections 10b, 11b detachably engaged with a friction in sockets 10', 11' and 10", 11" secured to the upper and lower frames.
