Hand-wheels.-A hand-wheel for motor-vehicles &c. comprises a rim formed by bending a band into a ring or connecting together curved segments, the rim being connected to a central body by projections such as g and recesses i caused to engage by the forming of the rim into an endless ring. The rim may consist of a metal tube a, or segments of wood, &c. and may be covered with celluloid br other material, and the projections g may be on the body and the recesses i in the rim. The ends of the rims may be drawn together by rotating a filling-piece c mounted on a screw f which engages cross-pieces d, e, end the projections g may be formed on cross-pieces g<2>. In modifications, the ends of the rim are united by a transverse key engaging both ends, and by brazing.
