Abstract
1369609 Aircraft flaps; deflecting propulsion jets HAMBURGER FLUGZEUGBAU GmbH 31 Dec 1971 60905/71 Heading B7G An aircraft wing 1 has a fixed support bracket 11 attached thereto, at least one flap carrier 3 pivoted to said fixed support bracket at 2 and carrying a multiple flap 5, 6 comprising also a relatively movable part 4 mounted by pivot 7 on bracket 3, a flap extending jack 12 connected between brackets 11 and 3 and connecting rods 8, 9, 10 connecting brackets 11 and 3 and flap 4. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) a further hinged flap is mounted above the above described set of flaps and connected by a link to a lower flap for pivotal movement therewith and such further flap may be slotted (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown). In a still further embodiment (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown) the lower set of flaps comprise three separate interconnected elements and these may be positioned in way of the efflux from an underslung ducted fan unit driven by a separate gas generator.
