Abstract

1368740 Trash removal in break spinners PLATT INTERNATIONAL Ltd 19 Nov 1971 [1 Dec 1970] 57042/70 Headings DID and DIN In a break spinning frame trash thrown centrifugally from the opening rollers 5 is collected at each spinning station in a chamber 15, Fig. 4 from which it is purged at intervals by a common air duct 2, the connection between the duct 2 and chambers 15 being provided by openings 8 and 16 which may be brought into alignment by a cam belt 22, Fig. 1, or by openings 40 which register with an opening 58 in a belt 30, Fig. 2. Ducts 10 leading from the chamber 15 are sealed to the belt 30 by sliding plastics rings 42. In an alternative arrangement a cylindrical duct 2 is employed and the belt 30 is replaced by a rotary distributor. Trash is sucked from duct 2 and filtered from the conveying air stream.
