Abstract

1367795 Self-levelling stacked article dispenser AMF Inc 16 Nov 1972 [19 Nov 1971] 53961/71 Heading A4T A self-levelling dispenser for e.g. two stacks of plates comprises a box-like frame of base 11 carrying vertical opposed pairs of inwardly facing channel guides, only 13, 14 of which is seen in Fig. 1, the guides being bolted at the top to a rectangular frame 12 at the ends of a middle cross-member 22 having down flanges 23, 24 each provided with a row of holes. Within each of the guides runs a carriage provided with rollers 51, 52 running on opposite sides of each channel guide, opposed carriages being connected by a cross-member carrying cantilever arms 34, 35 for supporting the two stacks of plates between two sets of four vertical guide bars 63 welded to the base and bolted at 64, 66 to a cover-plate 65. Each carriage cross-member is provided with an upturned flange 41 having a row of holes and adjustably removable springs 61 are tensioned between the holes in the upper and lower flanges 23, 24 and 41 whereby, as plates are removed from the stack, the springs raise the carriage supporting the stack. The dispenser may contain heating means.
