Abstract

The hoist consists of a frame which has four axles running in vertical grooves located in the frame of the machine. The hoist is driven upwards and downward by sprocket driven chains, one link being fixed to the frame by a pin. The frame is fitted with a number of support beams mounted across the frame. A guide frame is also capable of riding in the same grooves. The frame is fitted with edge plates able to travel sideways under the action of the ram. The sprockets are independently driven by motors. A rack and pinion mechanism assures alignment of sheets on unloading side of stack.
