Abstract

1367621 Bracket furniture P W FITZGERALD 6 Jan 1972 [16 Oct 1970] 49251/70 Heading A4B A table leaf 10 is mounted on a vertical board 12 so as to fold between horizontal and vertical positions by linkages 14, each linkage comprising longer and shorter arms 16, 18 pivotally carrying at one end brackets 22, 20 secured to leaf 10 and pivotally carrying at their other ends brackets 17, 19 secured to board 12. Leaf 10 is locked in the horizontal position by manually releasable spring urged sliding bars 28 mounted on leaf 10 engaging between jaws 32 on board 12. The distances between brackets 22, 20 and between brackets 17, 19 may be adjustable. The table leaf 10 may be replaced by a seat, ironing board or shelf.
