Abstract

1366995 Pipe clips GEORGE BAMBROUGH ASSOCIATES Ltd 6 April 1973 [12 Jan 1972] 1396/72 Heading E2B A hinge member 2 is pivotally connected to a body member 1 for movement between a closed position of the clip wherein respective ends 11, 12 of the members abut and to define a socket for a pipe 3, and an open position for allowing the pipe to be inserted into the clip; in use insertion of the pipe into the clip causes the hinge member to pivot from the open to the closed position. As shown, the member 2 includes a cam part 10 which is engaged by the pipe to exert pivotal action on the member and to close the clip. The member 2 may have an integral or separate spindle 5 which is forced along slots 8 in the jaws 7 of the body and into a bearing aperture 9. The inclined ends 11, 12 may include a co-opening recess and projection. For attachment to a support the body member 4 have an elongated slot 13 for a screw or a T-shaped head 19, Fig. 6, which is passed through a slot 20 in a support 17, the clip being rotated so that the head lies transverse to the slot. A single body member may incorporate two hinge members.
