Abstract

1363265 Knitted fabrics; nets DOW BADISCHE CO 26 Nov 1971 [27 Nov 1970 3 May 1971 25 Aug 1971] 54979/71 Heading D1K [Also in Division B5] A knitted fabric or net is made from a continuous laminate filament which comprises (A) a polymeric ply of material which is substantially electrically non-conducting, bonded to (B) a ply made of electrically conductive material having at least one discontinuity along its length. Preferably the polymer is polyethylene terephthalate and the conductor is aluminium. The discontinuity is preferably at least 0.003 inches long. This laminate filament may be used on its own or with other filaments in the fabric. The fabric is antistatic but does not conduct electricity.
