Abstract

1359291 Furnace walls EXCEL HEAT Ltd 12 Aug 1971 [12 May 1970] 22762/70 Heading F4B A furnace wall comprises an outer metal casing 10 to which four layers 11-14 of refractory insulating material are connected by refractory pins 15 secured within bosses 16 by split-pins 17 and having a groove 18 in an inner head 22 engaged by a collar 19 and a radially slotted locking washer 21. The layers 11-14 are made of flexible resilient sheets of asbestos, spun ceramics or calcium silicate and the pin 15 of sintered alumina or the like. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,268,022.
