Abstract

1358463 Hoppers for casting concrete CONCRETE INDUSTRIES (MONIER) Ltd 13 Oct 1972 [11 Nov 1971] 47318/72 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] A hopper 14 mounted on a rail carriage 10, 11 for dispensing concrete into a line of moulds for railway sleepers comprises a flow guide plate 17 which is provided with at least one vibrator and which is connected to the trailing wall 21 of the hopper by rubber pieces 24, 25. The plate may be provided with two vibrators 32, 33 and may comprise a vertical leading portion 27 and a downwardly sloping, trailing portion 28 interconnected by a curved portion. The portion 28 may be connected to the carriage 10 by a rubber pad 30. The front wall 16 may be inclined and may be provided with a vibrator 35. The hopper may be provided with a screeding slipper 18 carried on the carriage 10 by a chain 20 and hinged arms 19.
