Abstract

1356579 Pneumatic conveyers SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 1 Oct 1971 [1 Oct 1970] 46767/70 Heading B8A In an apparatus for delivering particulate material into one of a plurality of containers 10<SP>1</SP>, 10<SP>11</SP>, the material is conveyed pneumatically along a pipe 20 to a cyclone separator 14 mounted on a trunnion 13 to be pivotable whereby the outlet 15 thereof can be directed towards the inlet of one of a plurality of pipes 17, 18 connected to respective containers 10<SP>1</SP>, 10<SP>11</SP>. The separator outlet and the pipe inlets are mounted within a chamber 16 which may be closed by a lid 19 mounted for movement with the separator. The separator is held in any of its desired positions by a pin and hole arrangement Fig. 5 (not shown). The separator may be mounted on a gimbal ring for movement about two axis at right angles to each other if more than two pipes 17, 18 are provided.
