1354497 Fire-proofing glass reinforced plastic laminates HALMATIC Ltd 11 Aug 1971 [11 Aug 1970] 38624/70 Heading B2E Glass reinforced plastics material is fireproofed by adding to the surface a layer of woven glass roving, applying a resin absorbing tissue over the surface and thereafter coating the surface with an intumescent gel. The plastics material may be reinforced with chopped glass strand mat, the woven glass roving may have a weight between 24 oz./yd.<SP>2</SP> and 70 oz./yd.<SP>2</SP> and the tissue used may be glass tissue. The intumescent gel coating may be polyester based and containing additions of Sb and Ni.
