Abstract

1354310 Stamping URALSKY ZAVOD TYAZHELOGO MASHINOSTROENIA IMENI SERGO ORDZHONIKIDZE 30 Dec 1971 [17 March 1971] 60863/71 Heading B3Q A horizontal stamping adjunct for a vertica<SP>1</SP> stamping press comprises a tool slide on each side of the press and a frame for the slides which isolates the horizontal stamping forces from the main press frame. As shown, the adjunct frame comprises cross-members 7, 8 which are interconnected by rods 9. Within the frame and mounted on the press-base 1 is an hydraulic cylinder 2 containing oppositely-acting pistons 12, 13, one (13) of which engages a cross-piece 18 connected to a tool-slide 5 while the other acts, through the movable frame 7, 8, 9, on an opposite tool-slide 6. Four rods 15, passing between the cross-member 7 and cross-piece 18 and secured to the bed 14, carry nuts 16, 17 stopping movement of the slides 5, 6 if their tools are damaged. Return movements of the slides are by four cylinders (3, 4), Fig. 2 (not shown).
