Abstract

1,121,108. Stamping. AUGUST LAPPLE, G.m.b.H. & CO. 20 Aug., 1965 [20 Aug., 1964], No. 35766/65. Heading B3Q. In a press having a base 4, a reciprocable slide (not shown in Fig. 1), and co-operating die parts mounted on the base and slide, at least one of the die parts is supported resiliently by a pressure medium contained in a pressure bag 9 located within a chamber 7 formed in the base 4 or in the slide. A load transmitting member la and a pressure plate 1 are located between the bag 9 and bolts 2 connected to a tool or blankholder 3. The resilient bag 9 is supplied with gas or liquid under pressure. A guide beading 12 facilitates sliding motion of the plate 1. A plurality of resilient bags may be provided, acting on a single pressure plate (24), Fig. 5 (not shown).
