1353613 Burning fluid waste PEABODY Ltd 28 July 1971 [29 July 1970] 36685/70 Heading F4B An incinerator for fluid waste comprises a combustion chamber 1 of circular cross-section, at least one tangential inlet 6 for combustion air, and at least one waste supply duct 8 associated with each inlet 6 opening into the passageway or into the combustion chamber so that air from the inlet 6 sweeps over its discharge end to entrain the waste, the axis of each duct 8 being inclined at angle to the tangential to the combustion chamber wall between 25-125 degrees. A tangentially directed burner 10 is used for start up. The ducts 8 may be perpendicular to the chamber axis, or at an inclination between 5-30 degrees to the flame perpendicular to the chamber axis.
