Abstract

1353320 Metal soap coated pigments HARDMAN & HOLDEN Ltd 16 Nov 1971 [16 Nov 1970] 54386/70 Heading C1A [Also in Divisions C2 and C4] Inorganic substances coated with metal soaps are produced by reacting together a metal oxide, hydroxide, or carbonate with an ammonium or unsubstituted alkylamine carboxylate or sulphonate, in the presence of these substances, or by using excess of the inorganic reagent. Examples are zinc stearate coated zinc oxide, lead isononoate coated litharge, and calcium stearate coated tribasic lead sulphate, zinc dodecylbenzene-sulphonate coated Prussian Blue, calcium/zinc rosinate coated Prussian Blue, and paraffin wax/zinc dodecylbenzene-sulphonate coated Prussian Blue.
