Abstract

1352931 Electro-photographic element; developing electrostatic images MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [11 March 1970] 23796/71 Headings G2C and G2H A diascopic slide comprises at least one frame having a film supported therein, the film including a transparent conductive layer and a photoconductive layer, the conductive layer being electrically accessible. The slide may comprise frame members 11, 12, Fig.2 of plastics, paper or card and a film 13 comprising a transparent substrate of cellulose triacetate or polyethylene terephthalate having a layer of cuprous iodide with a portion 19 not covered by a layer of poly-N- vinylcarbazole. A cut-out portion 21 of the frame 11 provides electrical contact to 19. Other frame members having a hole or leaving most of portion 19 uncovered are also disclosed Figs.6 and 8 (not shown). In an electro-photographic development process, an exposed electro-photographic slide 10, Fig. 5, is held against an opening 27 by backing member 28 and spring 29. Developer liquid 32 is held in contact with the slide by valve 34 for the requisite time. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1305915.
