Abstract
1349817 Flue dampers HERMANN RAPPOLD & CO GmbH 17 May 1972 [17 May 1971] 23141/72 Heading F4B [Also in Division F2] A water cooled slidable damper plate is formed of interposed spiral sections 3, 4 arranged to form two passages for coolant 5, 6, one leading from the rim of the plate to the centre and the other leading from the centre to the rim. Each member 3, 4 may be an I-section strip, the strips being welded together along the flanges, and at the centre of the plate the passages 5, 6 are connected by a hub member, Fig. 3. The damper plate may have a rim 12 connected to the outlet and inlet 16, 15, the rim being wider than the channel sections to accommodate refractory 19, 20, and having sealing faces 14 to engage the damper frame.
