1349602 Chimney systems JOH VAILLANT KG 31 Dec 1971 [17 Feb 1971] 60903/71 Heading F4J An exhaust-gas duct system for use with gas or oil-burning appliances comprises a vertical chimney 2 to which may be connected a plurality of appliances 3, 4, 5, the upper end of the vertical chimney being connected to a horizontal exhaust-gas pipe 16 having an outlet generally in the plane of each of two opposed walls 11 of the building 1 which houses the system. The outlets of the horizontal pipe 16 may be formed by a vertical tube 17 provided with a hood or by a horizontally extending wire basket 18, Fig. la, closed by a plate 19. The chimney (24), Fig. 4a (not shown), may also supply combustion air to the appliances or a separate air supply duct (32), Fig. 5a (not shown), may be provided adjacent the chimney.
