Abstract

1348559 Measurement MAX-PLANCK-GES ZUR FORDERUNG DER WISSENSCHAFTEN 19 April 1971 [23 March 1970] 25076/71 Heading B1X [Also in Divisions Gl and G2] While particles entrained in a liquid medium are flowing through a relatively small aperture the flow path is concentrated, e.g. by a reduction in pressure as it passes into the aperture. Optical properties of the particles may be measured by microscopic examination of their radiant absorption characteristics while voltage differences on opposite sides of the aperture may be used to measure their size distribution.
