1348182 Securing windscreen wipers on shafts D ARMAN 31 March 1971 8360/71 Heading F2U A windscreen wiper is mounted by a connector 12 on a shaft D (e.g. with serrations at C) having an annular groove 32 engaged by a projection (21b) Fig. 4 (not shown) on one end of a V- shaped leaf-spring 21 the other end of which engages a pin 22 in the connector, the projection (21b) being prevented from withdrawing from the groove 32 (e.g. by a lever 30 pivoted at 13 and having its end 36 co-acting with a cam 38 on the wiper blade carrier) except when the wiper blade is lifted from the windscreen.
