Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act], Endless-track vehicles are fitted with road wheels which can be depressed into ground engagement, and are carried on pivoted members. The rear road wheels are driven from the track-driving mechanism, and the front wheels may be fitted for steering. The rear wheels may be spring supported in their operative position. The wheels 1 are carried on arms 2 pivoted to the axles 3 of the track wheels 4, and are driven by chain or other gear 7. The wheels are held in their raised and lowered positions by stops, and in the case of vehicles in which the body is not resiliently mounted on the trucks, springs 11 may be provided. The springs may be arranged transversely, as shown, and be con. nected to the wheel axles by members 12, or they may be arranged longitudinally and be pivoted with the wheels and abut against adjustable stops on the body. The front steering wheels are similarly mounted on pivoted arms.
