Abstract

1347684 Oven linings; hydrolitic oven cleaning ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [17 March 1970] 12761/70 Heading F4W A cooling oven has double faced side panels 12 so that the panels may be interchanged or reversed to bring the soiled surfaces adjacent to the heating elements 7 so that the panels are pyrolitically cleaned during the next cooling operation. The panels may be coated with a catalytic material so that pyrolitic cleaning takes place at a temperature below 550‹ C. Each side panel has oppositely directed flanges 12b, 12c at the front and rear edges, and has slots 12d to support oven shelves. The oven may have double faced top, bottom and back lining panels, and the back panel may be interchangeable with a side panel. The oven may be heated by gas burners between the side panels and the oven walls.
