1346196 Feeding webs H WITTLER & CO 16 June 1971 28162/71 Heading B8R [Also in Division F2] A web feed roller comprises a rigid curved axle (1) Fig. 1 (not shown) carrying a plurality of roller-bearing-mounted individual tube sections 2 adjacent ones of which are coupled together by a flexible supporting ring 3; the ring includes a metal sleeve 4 and may be formed with a groove 3<SP>1</SP> as shown, or it may be provided with a bead (3<SP>11</SP>) Fig. 3 (not shown) which limits relative movement between adjacent tube sections. The tube sections may be provided with a wear-resistant covering, e.g. of rubber paint or synthetic plastics material.
