Abstract

1303012 Rollers E KUSTERS 19 April 1971 [23 April 1970] 23158/71 Heading F2U [Also in Division D1] One of a pair of rollers used to squeeze liquid from textile webs, paper webs and the like has its curved surface coated with plastics material to a depth of less than 5 mm. This plastics material may be polyurethane. Shown are a pair of rollers, 1 and 2, at least the upper roller 1 of which is a floating roller, this roller having a tubular body 3 mounted on a stationary inner carriage 4. Two longitudinal chambers 7 and 8 between the inner carrier 4 and the tubular body 3 may be pressurized by a medium supplied through a pipe 9, the force exercised by this being transferred uniformly on to the body 3.
