Abstract

1346015 Valves WILHEM BITTER ARMATURENFABRIK KG 13 Oct 1972 [15 Oct 1971] 47297/72 Heading F2V A main valve connected to port 5 of a control valve is subjected to atmospheric pressure through radial channels 22, 24 and a central bore 21 when the control valve is in the position shown, and is placed in communication with a supply of compressed air 6 when the valve is moved to the right to lift a packing 20 from a seat 15a and hold it against a seat 15b, in which position the packing also closes the radial holes 24. The control valve is urged to the position shown in which the main valve is closed by a spring 25 and may be actuated by fluid admitted from a duet 7. The main valve may be a filling and emptying valve on a tank vessel or vehicle.
