Abstract

1428189 Valves APPLICATION DES GAZ 25 July 1973 [25 Oct 1972] 35521/73 Heading F2V A valve for controlling fuel gas comprises a screw-threaded valve member having a tapered circular cross-sectioned sealing portion 7e and a cylindrical graduating portion 7f cooperable with a resilient seat 4 having a non- circular cross-sectioned port 4a, the arrangement being such that the valve seat is progressively deformed by the tapered sealing portion 7e as the valve member is moved towards the closed position, until the seat 4 conforms exactly to the shape of the valve member.
