Abstract
1345840 Pneumatic conveyer V A MARKELOV A V SEMKE V L KHARCHENKO A A BARANOVSKY and S A CHUMAK 23 June 1972 29474/72 Heading B8A A pneumatic feeder comprises two sluice chambers connected by pipes to an intermediate chamber, the sluice chambers being emptied alternately into the intermediate chamber, each sluice chamber having upper and lower material level relays and the intermediate chamber having a lower material level relay, the relays being connected to a control unit to control the actuation of valves on the inlets and outlets of the chambers. In the Figure, sluice chamber 2 is loaded until the upper level relay 11 is covered, while pressurized material is unloaded from sluice chamber 1. When the material reaches the lower level relay 12, the valve 6 is closed, and the material in intermediate chamber 3 is pressurized and then emptied through pipe 26. Only then will valve 7 be opened to allow material from chamber 2, now pressurized, to pass into the intermediate chamber 3.
