Abstract

1345451 Packages JOHN WADDINGTON Ltd 10 Jan 1973 [22 Jan 1972] 3164/72 Heading B8C The lowermost of stacked piles of containers having recessed lids seat in apertures 32 provided in the bottom panel 12 of a surrounding sleeve carton, which has folded-under topwall tabs 36 locating in the recessed lids of the uppermost containers and which has weakening lines 30 extending to the apertures to permit tearing of the carton therealong by grasping a finger grip 28 to release the containers. The sleeve is formed from a folded blank having a glue tab 24 Fig. 1 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the apertures and tabs are designed for engagement with circular-section containers as opposed to the square-section containers shown.
