Abstract
134,506. Money, G. J. July 22, 1919. Extincteurs. - Relates to extincteurs of the type provided with a movable discharge pipe, the interior of which is normally closed both to atmosphere and to the interior of the extincteur casing, but which is adapted to be moved longitudinally to establish c o m m u n ication cation through the discharge pipe from the interior of the casing to the exterior for discharge purposes. The discharge pipe b is provided with holes e at the bottom normally closed by packing c, and with a discharge outlet f at the top normally closed by packing d, in order to prevent leakage due to temperature changes &c. In operating the extincteur, the discharge pipe b is moved by means of a knob g to free the apertures e, f from their packings. A submerged air chamber h to prevent danger of bursting is moved by means of a clip l on the discharge pipe b in order to break the acid bottle k.
