Abstract

1344825 Dispensing liquids VENDAID Ltd 19 May 1971 [2 April 1970] 15576/70 Heading A4T [Also in Division F1] A vending machine dispenses measured amounts of e.g. milk from a bulk pack 34 through flexible tube 32 forming part of a peristaltic pump comprising a support 14 carrying a motor turning rotor 10 having three symmetrical rollers 22a-c compressing the tube 32 which lies in a channel 28 extending across a recess 26 in a cradle 12. The cradle is pivoted at 16 to the support 14 and held in engagement with the rollers by a leaf spring 36 on the cradle engaging head 37 of a screw, the spring being disengaged by manual lever 40 to allow the cradle to be pivoted away from the rotor for removal or replacement of tube 32.
