1344581 Rolling INNOCENTI SOC GENERALE PER L'INDUSTRIA METALLURGICA E MECCANICA 3 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 110/72 Heading B3M A pilger rolling mill for hot rolling a seamless metal tube 9 includes a mandrel 7 supported externally of a rolling stand 1 and an abutment member 8 which bears, upon extraction of the mandrel 7 from the rolled tube against a retractable stop 10<SP>1</SP> positioned externally of the end supports 4 of the rolling stand 1. During rolling, the abutment collar 8 is positioned between a mandrel support 6 and the end 9a of the tube 9. The stop plate 101 having a V- shaped notch is mounted in a guide 11 which may or may not be fixed to the stand 1. During the withdrawal of the mandrel 7 from the rolled tube 9, the plate 10<SP>1</SP> is engaged by an enlarged end 8a of the collar 8.
