Abstract

1344088 Spray drying GOSUDARSTVENNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT STROITELNOI KERAMIKI "NIISTROIKERAMIKA" 30 Nov 1971 55446/71 Heading B1B A suspension of solid material in liquid is dried by spraying it through nozzles 11 into chamber 1 which is supplied with hot combustion gases from gas-burners 7 which are built into the walls 6 of chamber 1, each burner terminating in a combustion chamber 9, made of refractory metal, located within the drying chamber 1. The dried powder is discharged from the drying chamber through hole 3; and the exhaust gases leave through pipe 12. Each burner is provided with laminar stabilizers 8 to prevent break-away of the flame.
