Abstract

1343453 Water heaters CTC AB 20 April 1971 [14 May 1970] 10218/71 Heading F4A A water heater comprises an outer vessel 18 for flow of primary heating fluid and an inner vessel 10 for the water, the inner vessel being shaped as an elongated body of revolution with a convex generatrix and composed of two deep drawn halves welded together at 15. The outer vessel 18 may be also barrel shaped or may be cylindrical, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). Heating fluid, such as gas or hot water, is admitted through inlet 20 and discharged through outlet 21. The water to be heated enters through connector 12 with a diffuser 14 to prevent disturbing the water, and is delivered through connector 13. An inspection lid 17 is provided for the inner vessel, which may be made of stainless steel, and a spiral baffle 19 assists the heat transfer. In another embodiment, Fig. 1, (not shown), the outer vessel is part of a boiler.
