Abstract

1343432 Masted lift trucks LANCER BOSS Ltd and G N BOWMAN-SHAW 18 Jan 1971 [23 Jan 1970] 3460/70 Heading B8H The mast assembly 9, 10 of a side-loader is supported on trolleys 7 having rollers 8 which run in C-section guides 6 on each wall of a recess extending across the mid-portion of the truck body. The mast assembly is driven across the truck by means of a rotary hydraulic motor connected to sprockets 13 which are secured to a shaft rotatably mounted in brackets 12 on each side of the mast assembly and which engage chains extending beneath the guides 6 between anchorages 18, 19. Guide sprockets 14 are also mounted on a shaft rotatably mounted in the brackets 12. The hydraulic motor may be replaced by a flexible drive from the engine of the truck.
