Abstract

1343046 Lubricating bearings SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN GmbH 19 April 1971 [17 Feb 1970] 22007/71 Heading F2A A double-row rolling bearing comprises a tubular element 7 adapted to return lubricant to the raceways, and disposed between the rows of rolling elements. The element 7 is provided with flanges 8, and is located axially by means of a projection 9, which engages a groove 10. The element may be loosely or fixedly mounted on the shaft 1. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 1-3, not shown), the element is constructed with an axially-extending slit in the region where the axial dimension of the sidewall is smallest. The element may be of plastics or sheet metal.
