Abstract

1341709 Rising lift-off hinge ARTHUR SHAW MFG Ltd 8 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 29810/70 Heading E2F In a lift-off hinge, the free end of the hinge pin 7 has a cam surface 8 inclined to the pivot axis which engages a complementary cam surface 15 in the socket. The cam surface 15 is formed on a removable member 12 having a square sectioned stub 13 engaged in a complementary recess in the socket. The member 12 and a flanged sleeve 10 may be of nylon or acetal resin. The disposition of the cam surface 15 may be varied by rotating the member 12 by engaging a screw driver in the slot 14 in the stub 13.
