Abstract
1341444 Polyurethanes BAYER AG 1 July 1971 [1 July 1970] 30787/71 Heading C3R [Also in Division C2] In a process for the production of polyurethane resins by means of the isocyanate polyaddition process, the isocyanate component is a liquid di- or poly-isocyanate containing urea groups prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate at from - 20‹ to + 80‹ C. with a polyamine which contains only secondary amine groups in an NCO : NH group ratio of 2 : 1 to 100 : 1. In the examples (1) an isocyanate of formula is reacted with a polyester derived from phthalic acid and trimethylolpropane and containing titanium dioxide and a polyvinylmethyl ether; (2) an isocyanate of the formula dissolved in ethyl acetate containing tin-II- acetate is cross-linked to form a lacquer; (3) an isocyanate of the formula and the corresponding isocyanates prepared from m- or p-xylylene diisocyanates or isophorone diisocyanate instead of hexamethylene diisocyanate are reacted with a polyester prepared from adipic acid and ethylene glycol; (4) an isocyanate derived from N,N<SP>1</SP>-dimethyl-4,4'- diamino-diphenylmethane and a mixture of 2,4- and 2,6-toluylene diisocyanate is reacted with (i) a mixture of a propylene oxide polyether, endoethylene piperazine, silicon stabilizer and monofluorotrichloromethane, (ii) an ethylene oxide polyether mixture as in (i); and (5) an isocyanate derived from N,N<SP>1</SP>-diethyl-diaminodiphenylmethane and 4,4<SP>1</SP> - diisocyanatediphenylmethane is reacted with a mixture of a propylene oxide started on sucrose, endoethylene piperazine, water, silicon stabilizer and monofluorotrichloromethane.
