Abstract
1303201 Polyurethanes FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 17 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 29365/70 Heading C3R Polyurethanes are prepared by reacting a polyether containing hydroxyl groups at least 10% of which are primary hydroxyl groups with a polyisocyanate solution which is a 10 to 70% by weight solution of an NCO-containing product, prepared by reacting a monomeric polyisocyanate with a di- and/or higher functional compound containing hydroxyl groups, dissolved in a mixture of toluene di-isocyanate(s) and 4,4<SP>1</SP>-diphenyl methane di-isocyanate. A blowing agent may be included in the reaction mixture so as to form a foam. In the specific example, a reaction product of trimethylolpropane and butane-1,3-diol and toluylene diisocyanate is dissolved in toluylene di-isocyanate and mixed with water, triethylene diamine and crude diphenylmethane di-isocyanate to form a foam.
