1340683 Fly-wheel driven toy vehicles KENNER PRODUCTS CO 18 Dec 1970 [17 Aug 1970] 60327/70 Heading A6S A toy vehicle has a fly-wheel 14 located at or near the vehicle's centre of gravity adapted to contact the ground to propel the vehicle, and at least one skid or idler wheel 25, 22 located at the front and back of the vehicle to limit its pitch P to between 3‹ and 25‹. The fly-wheel, which has a rubber tyre, carries a pinion 45 engageable by a flexible plastics rack inserted in a chute 47 to rotate the fly-wheel. The chute 47 is retained in place by the cooperation of the vehicle shell and chassis. Various arrangements of the skids allowing various degrees of pitch and roll and also various ratios of the length of the vehicle body to the fly-wheel's diameter are disclosed.
