Abstract

1498775 Wheeled toys S SUDO 25 May 1976 [31 Aug 1975] 21556/76 Heading A6S A motor-driven wheeled toy, e.g. a doll, toy animal or, as shown, a toy motor car having a chassis 7, goes forward in a straight line but follows a curved path in reverse and comprises a housing 1 mounted by a pivot 6 to the chassis 7 and carrying a motor 10 driving through gearing 9 to an axle 4 journalled in the housing with one driving wheel 2 fast at one end and another wheel 3 journalled at its other end. When the toy goes forward, Fig. 1 the drive to the driving wheel 2 pivots the housing 1 to abut a stop 13 and the car proceeds in a straight line. When the direction of the motor 10 is reversed, Fig. 2, the housing 1 is pivoted to abut a second stop 14 and the car goes backwards in a curved path.
