Abstract

1,268,748. Toy car with coil track. TOMY KOGYO CO. Ltd. 9 Nov., 1970, No. 53209/ 70. Heading A6S. A toy "car" B, e.g. shaped as a futuristic vehicle, is adapted to fit inside a flexible plastic coil A, and has a pair of power driven cogged wheels 9, 10 which engage with the inside of coil and drive the car along. As described, the car comprises; a motor unit Ba, to which is pivotally attached a gear for driving the cogs; a battery unit Bb connected by a flexible link to the motor; and a translucent bulb-containing unit Bc also flexibly connected to the battery. The wheel 10 is urged away from wheel 9 by a spring 13 whereby the wheels firmly engage in the coil. The coil may be adapted to be connected into an endless loop, and several coil-lengths may be so joined together.
