Abstract

1277796 Walking device Y NOMURA 11 Sept 1969 [4 Nov 1968] 44956/69 Heading. A6S A walking device for a toy animal comprises eight legs in four pairs (13, 13' and correspondingly on the other side of the device as shown in Fig. 1) the two legs of each pair being mounted and coupled to driving means so that they step alternately. As shown, each leg is supported at one end of an inner or outer plate 14 or 15 which is moved in the manner of a coupling rod between two wheels by means of axles 3, 4 having double cranks 11, 12 (Fig. 2) driven by means of gearing 10, 6 or 11, 5 by gear 7 of motor 8. The mechanism is supported in a frame 2 which is in turn supported in a support frame 1 on a flange of which is mounted a cover modelled after an animal. A box 17 carries a cell or battery.
