Abstract

1339506 Automatic control of feed XEROX CORP 27 April 1971 [1 May 1970] 11610/71 Heading G3R A xerographic machine employs photoconductive wet material which is fed by rollers 2, 5 driven by synchronous motors MOT-1, MOT-2. The rollers are made with pulley members on which travels an endless belt 8 in which is formed a loop by rollers 14-16. The position of the roller 14, which is dependent on the relative speed of the rollers 2, 5, is sensed by a photo-electric arrangement whereby deviation from a predetermined loop position causes the selective energization of photo-relay tubes PR-1 to PR-4 and determines the energization of a D.C. motor MOT 3 whereby a correction is applied through a differential gear 17 in the drive from the motor MOT 2 so as to maintain the speeds of rollers, 2, 5 equal.
